IATF approves PRC's July to September 2021 board exams

Image
Will the 2021 Librarian Licensure Examination be postponed? Most likely not, as IATF has 'provisionally approved' that board exams for July to September will go on. This means that unless there is another announcement, the LLE will push through. Always visit the PRC website for any announcement about the exam. According to MalacaƱang, licensure examinations scheduled for July to September 2021 by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has been provisionally approved. This covers the Librarian Licensure Examination 2021 scheduled for September 8-9, 2021. In a press statement by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) approved PRC's request for the scheduled exams to push through. Roque stated that the conduct of exams are subject to conditions. Health and safety protocols should be observed. Quarantine classifications should also be considered. Quezon City Public Library launches all-gender restroom

Launching the all-gender restroom in Quezon City Public Library Just in time for Pride Month, the Quezon City Public Library launched an all-gender restroom last June 8, 2021. This initiative is part of the library's campaign to be a more inclusive environment, especially for the LGBTQA+ community. This is also in support of the Quezon City Ordinance No. 2357, series of 2014, or the "Gender Fair Ordinance" which provides for a comprehensive anti-discrimination policy on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression (SOGIE). According to the Quezon City Public Library, they believe that having an all-gender restroom can serve as an instrument to cater to the personal needs of members of the LGBT community. In Quezon City, there have been past incidents where transgender women experienced harassment from simply entering women's restrooms. This is one of the incidents that led to the passing of the anti-discrimination ordinance. The Quezon Cit...

Netflix's Trese: Season 1 review and reaction

Image
This review might be all over the place as I'm just writing about my first impressions. It's been quite awhile since I posted any movie or TV series review here, but this one was worth of attention. Netflix just dropped their latest animated series, Trese. This is the first Filipino-made series on the streaming platform. Trese is based on the Filipino comic series of the same name, written by Budjette Tan and illustrated by Kajo Baldisimo. I've been aware of this series before, been meaning to read it but I didn't get around to that. This reaction is more on the series and I'm writing this without reading the comics. If I get a chance, I would also read the comics. I am also writing this without watching the behind-the-scenes Netflix special as it might affect my reaction here. Season 1 has six episodes and the storyline alternates between the present day and flashbacks through Alexandra's youth. The series follows a 'monster of the week' format wh...
