You can now access TESDA Online Courses with free data

Looking to learn new skills? You can now access the TESDA Online Program (TOP) at https://www.e-tesda.gov.ph/ with free data if you are a Globe or TM Subscriber. Globe Telecom partnered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to make this possible. First time as a webinar speaker

Our set up in the American Corner section of our library Yesterday, August 20, my colleague and I were invited to speak for the webinar of the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. - Western Visayas Regional Council (PLAI WVRLC). We talked about the online reference services of the Henry Luce III Library of Central Philippine University where I currently work. I was with Vince Palcullo, our Archives and Special Collections Librarian. We are part of the library's Virtual Reference Services (VRS) team which was formed in response to the new challenges brought about by the pandemic.  I'm glad that PLAI WVRLC recognized the work we were putting into the virtual reference services that our library established due to the new normal. DepEd hold training to keep teachers & learners safe online

Globe Telecom and the Department of Education (DepEd) have joined hands to create a safe and healthy online learning environment for teachers, students, and home educators this coming school year.   While technology has been playing a big part in the lives of many teachers and students since the community quarantine started over four months ago,  it also poses more risks to users who are now expected to spend more time online when classes start.   Thus, as part of its learning continuity planning, DepEd has highlighted the urgent need to keep everyone in the educational community safe online.
