Retired faculty members donate library materials to UP Visayas University Library

Two retired faculty members donated library materials to UP Visayas University Library.   In memory of the late Prof. Pepito M. Fernandez, his family donated a total of two hundred forty reading materials (books, magazines, journals, newsletters, etc.). Meanwhile, three hundred fifty-three were donated by Dr. Jose P. Peralta. Prof. Pepito M. Fernandez served the University for thirty-five years as an academician. He was a well-loved teacher and respected by his colleagues. In addition, he had a flair for administrative leadership. And to name a few, he has served as Secretary of the College of Fisheries, Chairperson of the Department of Inland Fisheries of College of Fisheries when it was still in Diliman, and Dean of the College (now named College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences). But most importantly, Prof. Fernandez was the pioneer Vice Chancellor for Administration of UP Visayas from 1987 to 1989 when the Miagao campus opened. Coca-Cola's Tapon to Ipon program encourages collection and recycling of plastic bottles during fiestas

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI)—the bottling arm of the company in the country—activated Tapon to Ipon: Basta Klaro, Panalo! pop-up booths in Cebu and Iloilo and collected over 400 kg of post-consumer clear PET plastic bottles, toward helping hold waste-free festival celebrations. Tapon to Ipon is CCBPI’s nationwide collection program for post-consumer PET plastic bottles, with bottles from any brand accepted as long as they are clear. I was hacked in January 27, 2023 and after a long and tedious process, recovered my Facebook account nine days later Why was my Facebook account hacked? There are a few reasons why I think my account was compromised Having experienced it, being hacked is a frustrating and emotionally draining ordeal The steps I took to ensure my account security after successfully recovering my Facebook account and suggestions for others who are going through the same January 27, 2023, Friday, around 8 AM - I was just browsing the internet at work and looking at my phone from time to time. Like most people who own a smartphone, opening your screen during idle moments is already an ingrained habit.
