[FREE webinar] Digital(ised) Libraries: Why? What? How?

DIGITAL(ISED) LIBRARIES: WHY? WHAT? HOW?

This is Part 1 of 3 of webinars for the #EmergingInternationalVoices project of IFLA and Goethe-Institut.

The first session will focus on what we mean when we talk about digital libraries. We want participants to be able to explore the different ways in which digital tools can enhance existing library services, as well as making it possible to offer new ones. The focus will be put on the process of creating digital libraries: how can we make sure that we create platforms that suit the users’ needs?

📆 When: October 8, 2020 (Thursday)
⏰ Time: 7-8 PM Philippine Time or 1-2 PM CEST (or check what time on your time zone)
✍️ Register: https://tinyurl.com/y22tvowg via Zoom, it will also be streamed live on the IFLA Facebook Page

Speakers: Partha Pratim Das (National Digital Library of India) and Katie Moffat (The Audience Agency)

IFLA will be represented by the IFLA Secretary General, Gerald Leitner, and the Manager, Policy and Advocacy, Stephen Wyber.

Dr. Partha Pratim Das is currently the Joint Principal Investigator of the National Digital Library (NDL) of India. The NDL integrates "all the existing digitized and digital contents across educational institutions to provide a single-window access with e-learning facility to different groups of learners ranging from primary level to higher education" in India.

Katie Moffat is currently the Head of Digital at the Audience Agency of England. The Audience Agency is "a mission-led charity: its  purpose is to enable cultural organisations to use national data to increase their relevance, reach and resilience." *

I encourage participants and viewers to post and discuss about the webinar and use the #emerginginternationalvoices hashtag (and you can tag me as well).
