FREE webinar with 2 CPD points: Copyright and IP of gov't funded theses and dissertations

The DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute (STII) Library in partnership with the Association of Special Libraries (ASLP) in the Philippines will be hosting a FREE webinar on the topic "Copyright and Intellectual Property of Government-funded Theses and Dissertations" on July 26, 2022 (Tuesday) at 2-5 PM Philippine time.

According to PRC CPDAS, this webinar has 2.0 CPD units for attendees.

The webinar aims to provide participants with a solid understanding of the copyright and intellectual property of government-funded theses and dissertations, allowing them to develop policies for their institution.

Objectives:

  • Gain a better understanding of copyright and intellectual property on government-funded theses and dissertations
  • Apply the guidelines used for government-funded theses and dissertations based on the law
  • Maximize the participants’ ability to develop policies for their institutions’ collection of theses and dissertations

The resource speaker is Dr. Fernan Dizon, Chief of the Copyright Services Division, Bureau of Copyright and other Related Rights (BCRR), Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
