Webinar: Disaster Preparedness for Special Libraries on June 17 2022

The Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines (ASLP) will be holding a webinar via Zoom on "Disaster Preparedness for the guardians of Special Libraries and Information Centers: Having order in case of chaos" on June 17, 2022 (Friday), 1-5 PM.

The webinar aims to: 

• provide knowledge on the basic components of disaster preparedness
• identify the risks that affects the special collections the most
• illustrate how disaster preparedness maps the safety and security of the collections of special libraries
• identify challenges in developing and writing a disaster management plan
• provide examples of disaster management plan

The speakers for this event are Stephen B. Alayon, Associate Professor at West Visayas State University; Daryl L. Superio, Senior Information Assistant at Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC); and Seema Rampersad, President - Elect of the Special Libraries Association.
