Davao City - inauguration of new building for the City Archives and Records Office (CARO)

Last March 5, 2021, the City Archives and Records Office of Davao City or CARO inaugurated their new building. It is located along Candelaria Street in Davao City. Davao City Mayor "Inday" Sara Duterte led the inauguration with the CARO chief Ms. Grace Nabong.



About City Archives and Records Office (CARO) of Davao City

CARO manages and archives the records of the city of Davao. It also serves as a repository of historical materials.

It was created as a regular Department through City Ordinance 396-18 in pursuant to Republic Act 9470 or the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007. 

Their services include records management support for city government offices and records management trainings. CARO manages the storage and disposal of city records; digitization; conservation and preservation of damaged documents; and collection of historical and important records pertaining to Davao City.
