The Association of Special Libraries in the Phlippines (ASLP) will be conducting the ASLP 2022 National Congress on October 26-28 (Wednesday to Friday) in the National Library of the Philippines, Manila. The theme of the congress is "Librarians as Gatekeepers of rich tradition and leading-edge innovation in infrastructure, collection, and services". This is a face to face event.
According to PRC CPDAS, this event has 15.0 CPD units for attendees.

The main objective of this congress is to prepare the librarians and information professionals anent to imminent transformational changes catalyzed by the Fifth Industrial Revolution, 21st century challenges and the dominance of Millennial generation. Specifically, it aims:
- to talk over the rich traditions of libraries vis-Ã -vis the continuous development of technologies in library setting;
- to discuss the competencies and skills needed in response to disruptive innovation particularly in the areas of collection development, service provision and infrastructures of libraries;
- to suggest novel and forward-looking concepts that ensure continued relevance and reinvention of libraries and information centers;
- to apprise the librarians and information professionals of the posed challenges in the future; and
- to provide an avenue where policy recommendations in dealing with these inevitable changes may be constructively discussed.
Librarians, library administrators, support staff, teachers and students of Library & Information Science, consultants and other information professionals are invited to attend the seminar-workshop.
