DepEd launches E-saliksik, online education research portal

The Department of Education (DepEd) launched E-saliksik, an online repository for resources on research education.

According to DepEd, "E-Saliksik shall serve as the official repository of education research in the Department and make education research more accessible to aid evidence-based actions. The research portal also seeks to encourage the conduct and use of research from school to the national level through the sharing of knowledge."

E-saliksik was officially launched last March 14, 2022 in an online event.

The research repository was made possible with DepEd's Planning Service-Policy Research and Development Division (PS-PRDD) in partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS).

As of now, only verified members can access the repository. It will be available for the public soon.

DepEd also plans to expand the content of the repository to include research by outside contributors and students. As of now, there are various resources on teaching and learning; governance; human resources; child protection; disaster risk reduction; inclusive education; and gender and development.
