The Bulacan Provincial Library was awarded as 2021 Top Performing Library in the Philippines (Provincial Category). This award recognized its outstanding performance in public library services serving 375,628 clients (physical and online users).
The award was received by Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz, Head of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO); Ms. Mary Arlene DG. Torres, Head of the History and Heritage Division; Mr. Marlo A. Hipolito, Provincial Librarian; Ms. Cyrille Ann Dela Cruz, Library Program Coordinator; and, Mr. Edwin Cajucom, Administrative Aide II.
NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano with Blesila P. Velasco, Chief of the Public Libraries Division (PLD), and Karl William Panisan, Administrative Aide IV of the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PLD) presented the Certificate of Recognition on 22 February 2022 at the NLP Director’s Office.
According to Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando, "The provincial public library plays an important part in society, pandemic or not. Our local residents will have the chance to study arts, literature and history, especially to our students doing research."
The provincial library is located at Gat Blas F. Ople Building, Sentro ng Kabataan, Sining at Kultura ng Bulacan, Capitol Compound in Bulacan.
