March 9, 2022 is the 63rd Public Library Day [poster]

March 9 is the Public Library Day in the Philippines, according to Proclamation No. 563, s. 1959. The National Library of the Philippines and all public libraries in the country are mandated to sponsor this national celebration and promote public libraries through library drives.

This 2022 is the 63rd Public Library Day and the theme is "Pampublikong Aklatan, Katuwang ng Pamayanan: Pagbangon sa Pandemya, Pagpapayabong ng Kultura, at Pagpapalaganap ng Karunungan."

To promote this celebration, the National Library encourages participating public libraries to share their activities on social media using the following hashtags: #63rdPubLibDay #PhilPubLib #PampublikongAklatan #Pamayanan #PPP
