14 PH universities selected among Asia's best HEIs

14 universities in the Philippines were included in a prestigious list of the best higher education institutions in Asia. This is based on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings 2021. The QS is a global education think-tank and compiles rankings of universities all over the world. The list ranks the top 650 schools in Asia.

According to topuniversities.com, "This year’s ranking of the top Asian universities features 650 institutions, making it the biggest Asia ranking we’ve ever published. Mainland China leads the way with over 120 universities included this year, with India, Japan and South Korea the next most-represented study destinations. Those four destinations combined account for more than 65 percent of all ranked institutions this year. This year’s ranking has been constructed using 11 indicators."

The indicators include academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, international research network, citations per paper and papers per faculty, staff with a PhD, proportion of international faculty and international students, and proportion of inbound and outbound exchange students.
