Online storytelling at Iloilo City Public Library still ongoing

The Iloilo City Public Library's virtual storytelling program for children is still ongoing. Their storytelling videos are available on their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/iloilocitypubliclibrary.

This program started in April during the community quarantine period. The virtual storytelling is designed for kids and parents staying at home.

Parents and schools also share the online storytelling with their kids and students.

According to the City Librarian Marion Aguirre, "This project is for the service of our Ilonggo kids. Mayor Jerry Treñas said we will not deprive children of education and at the same time, their leisure. The purpose of this initiative is to enhance children's skills at home and to encourage them to read. While reading, you are also educating yourself and enjoying. You are giving them pleasure to read."
