The book is dedicated to the "children of Iloilo." The book features drawings in the local setting inspired by Sooc, South San Jose, Molo, Iloilo. The illustrations often feature children playing traditional Filipino games and the ubiquitous sari-sari store.

From the book's introduction:
"Kurit Iloilo is a visual story art book for interactive drawing and coloring. The reader can activate the living heritage village of Iloilo in the urban setting tacked in between buildings centered on the Sari-sari store with children doing traditional games. The children can add drawings, colors, objects, slogans, textures, lines, shapes or poetry to make the pictures come alive with a personal touch. The children can add more items to the blank spaces in each page as part of their own “storytelling” of their village life and the games they play in besides or between sari-sari stores."
