Webinar with 8 CPD points! Developing Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO): Setting the Library Roadmap on June 22-23

The Philippine Association of Academic/Research Librarians, Inc. (PAARL) will be holding the 2022 Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series 1-2 on June 22-23, 2022 (Wednesday and Thursday), 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM for Day 1 and 8:30-12:00 for Day 2. The event will be held online via Zoom.

The theme is "Developing Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO): Setting the Library Roadmap." The speaker is Alfredo F. Diaz, Jr. The program aims to familiarize librarians with the fundamentals of developing vision, mission, goals, and objectives, as well as to help them create one for their own libraries.

The seminar-workshop has 8 CPD units for attendees.

Objectives:

  • To know the fundamentals in developing Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives;
  • To understand and apply the basic principles of planning;
  • To be able to create the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of a library;
  • To imbibe the skills and techniques for conducting a successful and effective strategic planning session for their respective libraries.

PAARL Nat'l Summer Conference on April 28-29

The Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians, Inc. (PAARL) will be holding their 2022 National Summer Conference for librarians on April 28-29, 2022 (Thursday to Friday). The event will be held online via Zoom. The theme of the conference is "Catalysts for Change: Transforming Library Services, Collections, and Communities in Times of Challenges."

The conference aims to inform librarians of the innovative ideas implemented by different libraries during the pandemic and explore how other libraries respond and transform their services during these challenging times. 

The CPD points for this activity is currently being processed.
