Basic Bookbinding Workshop webinar on Nov 10 (with 2.5 CPD points)

Asosasyon ng Aklatan at Sinupan ng Diliman, Inc. (AASDI) will be conducting a Basic Bookbinding Workshop webinar via Zoom on November 10, 2022 (Thursday), 1:30-4:30 PM.

The featured speaker is Emma M. Rey, former Executive Director of the Congressional Library Bureau, House of Representatives.

This webinar is "intended for librarians, students, and beginners who would like to start out a book binding journey and interested to learn useful techniques on basic bookbinding methods. The participants will have the opportunity to learn the practical step by step process and getting acquainted with the different tools and materials necessary for binding."

Objectives:

  • To gain understanding of general bookbinding methods and techniques 
  • To improve the life span, durability and aesthetic qualities of library materials
  • To demonstrate how to create a hand-bound book
