FREE webinar with 2 CPD points: Establishing an Effective Knowledge Management System on April 29 2022

DOST Science and Technology Information Institute Library in partnership with the Association of Special Libraries in the Philippines will be hosting a FREE webinar for librarians on April 29, 2022 (Friday), 2-5 PM. The theme of the webinar is “Establishing an Effective Knowledge Management System” with speaker Mr. Joemar D. Sajona, RL, MLIS, Director, Management and Information Systems Office of the Philippine Normal University.

The webinar aims to enable participants to understand and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and tools in creating, sharing and applying knowledge to enhance organizational productivity and growth.

Objectives:

  • Describe the knowledge management (KM) framework and methodology;
  • Apply KM tools and techniques in the workplace, and,
  • Maximize the ability of the participants in developing a KM action plan for their respective organizations.

About the Speaker

Mr. Joemar D. Sajona is currently the Director of the Management and Information Systems Office of the Philippine Normal University. He is a graduate of Master in Library and Information (MLIS) at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and currently taking his Ph.D. in Knowledge and Innovation Management (Dissertation Writing Stage) at Bangkok University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is a Registered Librarian, PAASCU Accreditor, UNESCO MIL Trainer (National Level), PNU Chief ISO Document Controller, Internal Quality Auditor, Curriculum Quality Audit Specialist, Microsoft Ambassador, and an Online Teacher.

A former Head of the University Archives and Records Management Unit, former Department Head and Program Chair of Master in Library and Information Science in the Graduate Level under the School of Information and Knowledge Management (SIKM) and Institute of Knowledge Management (IKM). He teaches various ILS courses, knowledge management, and innovation management courses, information technology courses as well as professional education courses both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He conducted numerous National and Local Professional lectures, training, presentations, and seminars related to Library and Information Science, Education, ICT, Quality Assurance, and Curriculum Development.
