September 2016 exam results were out yesterday night! Even me, who has taken the exam and passed last year... waiting for the results is nerve-wracking. This year's passing rate (65%, 738 out of 1,140) was better than last year when I took the board which was only 47%. My classmates who took this second time had said that it was easier than last year's.
Central Philippine University (my school) had 13 test-takers, 3 had taken the second time and 2 passed. Out of all the first-timers, all passed except for one. Overall, 11 out of 13 passed which makes a decent passing rate of 84% for our school. Even if we didn't have a top 10 this year, that rate is better than last year. Congratulations to my schoolmates! For those who didn't pass, there's still a next time.
The top 10 this year is interesting, with a diverse list of passers from different provinces. Unlike previous exams where students from UP Diliman mostly dominated the top 10. This year's top 11:
1. KARL EMMANUEL VILLANUEVA RUIZ - UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS, 89.90
2. APRIL MAE BADILLA DELOLA - HOLY CROSS OF DAVAO COLLEGE, 89.25
3. ELAINE BARBARA MAGLAQUE CRUZ - BALIUAG UNIVERSITY (BALIUAG
COLLEGES), 89.20
4. PAUL JASON VISAYA PEREZ - UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES DILIMAN, 89.15
5. JONATHAN DE GUZMAN ISIP - UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES DILIMAN, 88.85
ROANA MARIE LUCENA FLORES - UNIVERSITY OF THE EAST-MANILA, 88.85
6. GRACE RUTH TANTEO DAULAT - PHILIPPINE NORMAL UNIVERSITY MANILA, 88.55
7. DANOLEENE MARIE PASICOLAN TUGADE - UNIVERSITY OF SAINT LOUIS TUGUEGARAO, 88.40

9. DENISE MARIE OCAMPO MACROHON - UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES DILIMAN, 88.15
10. SHAUNTEL PEREZ ORTEGO - UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES DILIMAN,
88.
As for schools' performance, UP Diliman had 100% passers as expected! They are followed by University of Santo Tomas (94.44%) and Benguet State University La Trinidad (86.36%).
