The Philippine Normal University Library and Information Science Alumni Association. Inc. (PNULISAA) will be conducting the 2nd PNULISAA Unconference for Library Professionals or PULP 2022 in celebration of the 32nd Library and Information Services Month this November 2022. The online event will be held via Zoom on November 25, 2022 (Friday), 9 AM to 12 NN.
According to PRC CPDAS, the event has 2.25 CPD units for attendees. There is a fee of P150 pesos for non-PNULISAA members. Please see below for payment details.
The Unconference is a participant-driven activity that aims to provide a casual and laidback avenue for discussion, sharing of experiences, and exchanging ideas among LIS professionals. Adapting this year’s Library and Information Services (LIS) Month’s theme, "Mga Aklatan Bilang Kanlungan ng Karunungan: Tagapangalaga ng Kultura at Pamanang Lokal'' seeks to discuss and elaborate how the different types of libraries in the Philippines are protecting and promoting our diverse culture.
Objectives
- Share insights and experiences on their current library practices intended to support the culture and creative sector;
- Identify and potentially adopt best practices applied by different types of libraries that evidently, support cultural participation of its community;
- Envision and foster libraries’ increased involvement in advocating for the culture and creative sector;
- Expand knowledge of the culturally diverse communities libraries serve and their needs, and;
- Form increased communication opportunities among information professionals
